> Goodsittdogs is the private dog training and behavior practice of Krista Goodsitt, based in Hollywood, California. Krista is a Certified Behavior Consultant Canine, Knowledge Assessed, through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), and an Animal Behavior College Certified Dog Trainer, with over 20 years helping people and their dogs. She trains at your door across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura and Riverside Counties, and now in Bakersfield and across Kern County too.

## About Krista Goodsitt
* Owner and trainer of Goodsittdogs. Motto: "Patience, Leadership, and Love."
* Certified Behavior Consultant Canine, Knowledge Assessed, from the CCPDT. She became one of only about 300 people to hold it.
* Certified Dog Trainer from Animal Behavior College, where she studied with an emphasis in reactivity and problem behaviors.
* Over 20 years helping people and their dogs, including dogs other trainers would not take on.
* Positive balanced training. No one size fits all: every plan is built for the dog, the family and the daily routine.
* Grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Became a trainer after her own second dog showed problem behaviors and every trainer she called was one size fits all or out of her budget.
* Off the clock she is outdoors with her two dogs, rock climbing, white water kayaking and backcountry hiking.

## How it works
* Every plan starts with a phone or in person consultation.
* Training comes to your door. Obedience series can also be done in Hollywood.
* Remote online consultations and travel consultations are available on request.
* Every client gets lifetime support for any training need.
* Rates depend on the dog and the program. Call, text or email and Krista walks you through them.

## Training programs
* Behavior Consultation: About 1.5 hours in your home. Krista sees the problem where it actually happens, works on the issues and starts a training plan for you, your family and your dog, with more sessions if needed. For separation anxiety, fear and anxiety, leash reactivity, house soiling and potty training, aggression toward dogs, animals or people, and housemate issues. https://www.goodsittdogs.com/training#behavior
* Leash Handling for Reactive Dogs: For dogs that react on leash to other dogs, motorcycles, bikes, squirrels and more. It takes time, patience and a positive attitude, and it starts with a consultation. https://www.goodsittdogs.com/training#reactivity
* Puppy Package: For puppies 3 to 6 months. Three private sessions at your door: potty training, basic manners (sit, down, come when called), chewing toys instead of hands, settling and relaxing, being alone now and then, being comfortable with handling, and liking new people and dogs. * Beginner and Intermediate Obedience: For dogs 6 months and up. Five sessions in Hollywood or at your home. Beginner covers sit, stay, down, come, walking nicely on leash, waiting at the curb and real life practice, with the whole family welcome. * Canine Good Citizen Prep: For dogs 6 months and up with basic obedience. Six sessions toward the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test, a great next step for well mannered dogs and for anyone interested in therapy work. https://www.goodsittdogs.com/training#cgc
* Day Training: For people who can't train as much as they'd like, or who finished a series and want help keeping it going. Krista trains your dog while you're at work, or picks them up for socialization and exercise, then gives you a detailed training plan and shows you how to use it. * Urban Life with Your Dog: For people who want to take their dog to the dog park or hiking but don't feel confident doing it safely: reading dog body language, telling a friendly dog from one better not to meet, dog introductions, and off leash do's and don'ts. ## Common questions
* Where do you train? At your door across Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, Riverside and Kern Counties, including Bakersfield. Obedience series can also be done in Hollywood, and I do remote online consultations and travel consultations on request.
* Do you train in Bakersfield? Yes. I’m taking more clients in Bakersfield and across Kern County now, for consultations and private training at your door.
* How does it start? Every plan starts with a phone or in person consultation. From there I build a training plan that works for your dog, your family and your daily routine.
* Do you work with reactive or aggressive dogs? Yes, that’s a big part of what I do. Leash reactivity and aggression toward dogs, animals or people both start with a Behavior Consultation in your home.
* Can you help with separation anxiety? Yes. Separation anxiety, fear and anxiety all start with a Behavior Consultation, about an hour and a half in your home, so I can see what’s really going on.
* How old does my puppy need to be? The Puppy Package is for puppies 3 to 6 months that have had two shots and are close to the third. Dogs 6 months and up can start Beginner Obedience.
* What is Day Training? I train your dog while you’re at work, or pick them up for socialization and exercise. Then you get a detailed training plan and I show you how to use it. It starts with a consultation.
* Do you have group classes? I’m starting group classes and training series. Dates go up on the class calendar as soon as they’re set, and you can save a spot right there.
* How much does training cost? It depends on your dog and the program, so call, text or email me and I’ll walk you through it.
* What happens after my program ends? Training doesn’t stop when our sessions do, so every client gets lifetime support for any training need.
